LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan has demanded the arrest of Maryam Nawaz for disrespecting Mazar-e-Quaid and said that Begum Safdar should humbly apologize for returning to the country.

He further said that the open playing of the PML-N will make the "N" and "Sh" League a failure, the people are watching, with each passing day the PML-N is bringing more disgrace.
It may be recalled that in Karachi, police raided a private hotel in the early hours of the morning and arrested Captain (retd) Safdar, the main accused of violating the sanctity of Mazar-e-Quaid.
A case of violation of sanctity of Mazar-e-Quaid was registered in the brigade police station against 200 unidentified persons including Maryam Nawaz and Captain (retd) Safdar on the complaint of a citizen named Waqas Ahmed.
According to sources, Captain (Retd) Safdar was shifted by police to Aziz Bhatti police station, where he will be interrogated in connection with the case of violation of Zarqaid.
