ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Federal Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan has been convened today. The meeting will consider a 14-point agenda.
According to details, a 14-point agenda of the federal cabinet meeting has been issued. The political, economic and security situation of the country will be considered in the cabinet meeting. The situation in Karachi will also be reviewed in the meeting.
The federal cabinet will consider a 14-point agenda, which will include a briefing on encroachments on Islamabad Margalla Road and outsourcing of major airports, as well as appointments made without cabinet approval. It will also ratify the August 21 ruling.
The cabinet meeting will review the damage caused by rains in Karachi while the Prime Minister will present Karachi drain cleaning, water supply and drainage packages.
According to sources, the meeting will approve the names for the election of the board of directors of PPL, including the approval of multi-storey buildings in Karachi, Lahore and other cities.
According to sources, besides presenting the annual report of NEPRA and State of Industry, the meeting will also give a briefing on the process of public-private construction, comparison of PAPRA rules and approval for extension of deputation of Sessions Judge of Karachi Banking Court-3.
In addition, the issue of commercialization of medical and industrial use of cannabis is on the agenda. The Federal Cabinet will ratify the decisions taken at the last ECC meeting, and the decisions of the Privatization and Institutional Reforms Committee will be ratified.
